About us

The Senegalese Association of Calgary (SENACAL) was founded in June 2008. Having noticed that the number of Senegalese who arrived in Calgary increased each year, community members then present in the city felt it was necessary to create a structure to provide resources, support and tools to assist the Senegaleses find their way in the city of Calgary. Since then, the Senegalese Association of Calgary has expanded from what was initially a small circle to a current membership and network of over 120. Over its 6-year history and through its actions and activities, the Senegalese Association of Calgary has gained more visibility. It continues to evolve to meet the needs of its members and affiliates.
